Tencent is a cloud SMS services system that provides global and domestic SMS services to its users. By integrating Tencent with Zoho CRM, you can send individual or bulk SMS directly from within Zoho CRM's Leads and Contacts modules. Create SMS templates from Zoho CRM. When you install this extension the following components will be added to Zoho CRM:

• Tencent History - A custom module that creates a record every time you send an SMS to a lead or contact.
• Tencent Bulk SMS - A custom button is added in the List View page of the Leads and Contacts module to send bulk SMS messages.
• Tencent Send SMS - A custom button is added in the View page of the Leads and Contacts module to send SMS.

Install Tencent extension

You can install the extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account.

To install Tencent extension from Zoho CRM

1. Go to  Setup > Marketplace > All.
   All the installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in Zoho CRM. 
2. Click All Extensions browse through for Tencent, and click it.
   Details about the extension will be available. Click Continue to Install.
3. In the following screen, agree to the terms of service and click Install Now.
4. Choose one of the following and click Confirm:
   • Install for admin only - The extension will only be installed in CRM for the users with the administrator profile.
   • Install for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all the users under the administrator profile.
   • Choose profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM for all the users. Click Continue ,then select the profile. The extension will be installed automatically for the specified users.
5. Provide the Tencent App ID and Tencent App Key to configure your Tencent account with Zoho CRM in the Pop-up.
   If you click Skip in this step, you can later configure from Settings>Setup > Marketplace > All > Installed Extensions. Browse for Tencent SMS extension and click Configure.
   
6. Click Save.

To obtain Tencent credentials required for configuration:

1. Log in to your Tencent account.
2. Click the Project Configuration tab.
3. The AppID and App key can be obtained from the Project information page.

Send SMS

You can send SMS messages to an individual leads or contacts, or a bulk SMS message to a group of lead/contact.

To send individual SMS

1. Choose a lead or contact from the Leads/Contacts module.
2. Click Tencent Send SMS button, in the View page.
   
3. Choose the required template, from Template dropdown.
   
   All the SMS templates approved by Tencent will be listed here.
4. Click the Send SMS button.

To send bulk SMS

1. Choose the list of leads or contacts from the
   Leads/Contacts module.
2. Click Tencent Bulk SMS button, on the List View page.
   
3. Choose one of the Templates from the drop-down.
   All the SMS templates approved by Tencent will be listed here.
4. Click here Send SMS button.

View Tencent History

Whenever an SMS message is sent to leads/contacts, a new record with the details about the SMS will be created in the custom module, Tencent History. Similarly, the history of the SMS messages sent to individual lead/contact will be listed in their related list, Tencent SMS History.

To view SMS history

1. Choose the Tencent History custom module.
2. All SMS messages sent to leads/contacts will be listed.
3. Choose a record from Leads/Contacts module.
   The details about all the SMS messages sent to the lead or contact will be listed in the related list Tencent SMS History.

Add SMS Template

Tencent Cloud features an approval process for the SMS templates, which in turn is used to send SMS messages. Whenever you need to create new SMS Templates, you can do so by clicking on the New Template button in Tencent SMS page.

• The SMS template includes a title and content
• The title cannot include any special characters in it
• The message length must be within 400 characters

Click the Add button and the newly created template will be sent to Tencent for approval. It takes a few hours for the SMS templates to be approved. Once the templates are approved, they will be added to the Templates drop-down list. in the Tencent SMS page , and can be chosen from the list and used to send SMS messages to leads or contacts.

Uninstall Tencent extension

To uninstall the extension

1. Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > All.
   All the installed extensions will be listed.
2. Browse for Tencent and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
3. Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
